Hello,

I am using NX6 and need to incorporate some German into my drawing, but I don't know how to produce some of the German characters and accents.
The symbols ä & ß are of particular interest.

I have typed the symbols into the text box on Unigraphics, but upon placing the text on the sheet they become squares.

Cheers for any help

What font are you using?

At some point NX started supporting True Type Fonts. I'd suggest using one of those if it is available in NX 6, most of those fonts have good character coverage.

If TT fonts are not available to you, try the "latin_extended" NX font.

Latin_extended or the fonts with "Hershey" in their name should be your best bet in NX6.
( NX 8.5 supports True type.)

Regards,
Tomas
