If we learn from our mistakes I'm getting a great education!

Very nice site.

When I first went to work I worked in group where one of the engineers had worked on TDCs all during the war. It was only when he got close to retirement did he start talking about some of his work. he stated that the toughest time was during the first part of the war when the torpedoes were defective and it was a big finger pointing game as who was at fault. He stated that lubrication was also a problem as the TDC would sit for long periods. He said he tried to go on patrol to see exactly how the TDC worked under actual conditions but was denied until close to the end of the war and something happened that he didn't get to go and the submarine he was to accompany didn't return from patrol.

He was always building mechanical contrivances to do different jobs, like tying a weavers knot in thread lines, a goniometer head to locate holes, 8000, in a Pt spin jet.
He kept people like Stock Drive Products in business.

Gee thanks, there goes my day, goodbye productivity.

Bookmarked it, I still have all of those NEETS modules
