yarway recirculating valve serie 9300

we have a old model yarway reciculating valve born at 1988 made by yarway. yarway lost the data now not recognise this part number .this valve is attach with a gould pump model 3700 a big dady to feed some westinghouse turbines . I want to know if knowind size in/out/ recir , the nominal rate of the pump plus the working curve can anyone desing which is the appropiate valve to reemplace the old one ? ill appreciate the comments

You might check with Fisher/Contek for a replacement. If Westinghouse supplied the original valve with the turbine they should have the documentation.

It is funny, I used to work for Yarway in the 80's and now work for a Fisher rep. The 9300 is an 'ARC', which is a self controlling minimum flow valve. To replace this with a different style valve you will need to add a control loop to the system that measures flow and controls the recirc valve. To size the valve you need to go back to the pump information to figure out what the minimum flow needs to be. Then it is usually a severe service valve once you know the flow and the DP. We have replaced many 'Arcs' and 'Marcs' this way.
