Dear All,

I need to model cement Mortar in one software, please suggest me the E value I should assign for that. I Searched a lot but not getting. Please suggest E value for Normal mortar of Proportion in range of 1:3 to 1:4 and normal water content.

Regards,
Sigma

Your masonry code should have this information. May vary from jurisdiction to jurisdiction.

Yup, check your masonry code. I assume you're modeling an actual member comprised of a unit (concrete block, clay brick etc...) and mortar. in the US ACI code allows 900 f'c and 700 f'c for CMU and clay masonry respectively. I use 1350 ksi for a 1500(f'c)concrete masonry wall (standard) here in the US. It all depends on your materials and may vary greatly.

Than you so much Eng. Dik and Eng. Mjkkb2.
