Dear all,

I always get the warning in a contact problem with two porous bodies(CAX4P-axisymm pore pressure elements)

"There is zero VOL. FLUX everywhere in the model based on the default criterion. please check the value of the average VOL. FLUX during the current iteration to verify that the VOL. FLUX is small enough to be treated as zero. if not, please use the solution controls to reset the criterion for zero VOL. FLUX."

I am wondering how to control Zero Vol Flux in porous medium? I played with initial pore pressure/void ratio and UTOL. But problem has not been reslved.

I am not getting physical meaning of this warning and how to get rid of this ?

Thanks in advance !

Any help is greatly appreciated !

looking forward to your reply !

Regards
Krishna

As I answered you in the previous post. This may be due to low permeability. Try to increase it and see what happens.
Regarding your question: I am wondering how to control Zero Vol Flux in porous medium.
This requires going to solution control and changing the pre-set convergence, accurecy, and tolerence values established by ABAQUS. It is possible, but this should be the last stage an analyst that should do based on his/her problem.
