Hello everybody,

does any one know the snow rating for Zipcode 28803, Asheville, NC? in my MBS software, ground snow Pg shows 999psf which means need to contact local building official to get the snow rating Pg. However I contacted the local building department and still can not get the snow value.

Thanks.

try googling "ground snow load in zip code 28803"
...came up 15 psf up to 2600 ft elevation

I like to get confirmation when I can from local building departments as they may have asserted local addendums.

After this winter, they might want to rethink that load...

HAHAHAHA that would be my backyard...

yep, 15 psf, depending on elevation. that zip code is pretty flat, but best to call Asheville or Buncombe County to confirm based on the address.

and Mike, we've had no snow at all. stinks. we did get about an inch of ice, which my back still remembers from scraping the driveway...

Snow?Ice?....my driveway is full of sweet gum burrs....you can break an ankle on those things! We have it really tough down here in Florida.

Got 20' winter swell at North Shore this week. Only two types of weather here where I am. Summer, and nearly summer, and surf all year round.

Lived in Toronto for 2 years. No more cold for me.
