I installed solidworks 2010 sp0 on my new computer (with windows 7) from the same CD that works fine on a different computer.
The program runs fine besides an irritating BUG:
YOU CAN SEE IT IN THE ATTACHED FILES.
Each click on the buttons/scroll of the mouse turns the active area of the screen to be 400% bigger, which means what I see is :
On the left I see the feature manager tree (normal) on the top I see the toolbars (normally) but in the active area I see a deep zoom- about a quarter of the scene (even the icons used to enlarge/ minimize/close the window in the corner cannot be seen this way) and includes a second copy of the feature manager . The part is there too but can't be seen (It is out of the screen- and can be seen only when zooming out).
When pressing 'front view' the preview becomes normal (100% view) but clicking either on the feature manager tree or touching the body and it jumps back into zoom view.
Reinstalling did not help. can you help me with it?
thanks

ANNA ,THANKS FOR YOUR RESPOND!
I've got NVIDIA quadro fx1800
So I doanloaded drivers from the link you gave me.the 2 links marked in blue (in the file attached)
but these drivers that suit my computer (64 bit+windows 7) both have a note "Must use SolidWorks 2010 SP01 or laterand"
i have spo.0 (my office will not suscribe any further to solidworks so i think i cannot upgrade it)
is there anything else i can do to fix it?

Did you try either of the drivers? Or, try the last approved FX1800 driver for SolidWorks 2009. Remember to uninstall the current driver before installing a new driver.

Hi Jeff,
i tried both but i didn't uninstall the current driver before installing a new driver....i installed the first one from the solid site , and because it didn't help me- than i also tried the second.

Could you please help me to figure out which driver's file i should uninstall in order to try to install again one driver in a time (is it one of the 3 i marked in the attached control panel print screen file?)

and one more thing, you wrote me :" try the last approved FX1800 driver for Solid Works 2009" did you mean 2009 even though i work with 2010 spo.0? the solid site has no drivers for 2009 that matches my card quadro fx 1800 NVIDIA!

Uninstall the one that is showing a size, then reboot. Install one of the 'correct' drivers and reboot. If this driver doesn't take care of your problem, repeat the process using the other driver. Hopefully, one of the drivers will work for you.

Are you running standard Windows screen dpi? I have a problem of not being able to turn on the command manager without the SW window practically disappearing. I'm running FX1800 Quadro at 125% magnification, Win7 64 bit - tried various drivers, no cure. Maybe Win7 sp1 will help.

Make sure your running one of the Win 7's Aero Themes. Not using Aero can cause patchy graphic distortion when zooming... especially with the mouse scroll wheel.

IT WORKS!!!
I CREATED A NEW WINDOWS USER ACCAUNT AND RUN SOLIDWORKS
I GUESS MY USER WAS CORRUPTED.
THANK - YOU SO MUCH TO ALL OF YOU FOR HELPING ME WITH IT!!!
