We currently extrude Nylon 6/6 into shapes ranging from .04 to .08 in thick. I am looking for a less costly substitute to the Nylon 6/6. The main characteristic needed is capabiity to withstand 250 deg F without melting. Any suggestions?

I did answer the question as asked. ;-)

I probably put as much thought into framing the answer as the OP put into composing the question.

I suspect that you need the part to retain its shape and even hold a load at that temperature so the property in question is the heat distortion temperature, abbreviated HDT.

You can search materials by properties including HDT for free at
Pat's right though, PP is a great choice for cost and performance.
