Anyone know of any way to use an IPad as the only/primary HMI for a Micrologix 1400? I've been looking for a good 3rd party app but haven't found any good ones. Any thoughts or suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

I don't have an answer, but I would like to know if you do find one. I am looking for similar applications for tablet computers.

You might try ScadaMobile by SweetWilliam Automation. The AB 1400 would have to be on a network with internet access and you can connect directly to the PLC over the internet via IPad or IPhone.

I'm going to think, that since the ML1400 has a built in webpage, if you put the ML1400 on the network that the iPad can also access via WiFi, you can get to it that way.

Since the iPad only has wireless connections, you could run an intermediate application on a PC or other host, and this would be the HMI via a webpage interface.
