Wondering if anyone has come across a cold form metal stud like this.
It is in a residential construction setting (existing). I'm trying to find make/manufacturer.

Thanks in advance.

I worked at a place that blocked my Google search for "sex bolts."

did they just block the search, or were you called up to HR ?

I got called to HR 'cause one of my guys emailed a picture somewhere showing a female tennis player sticking a tennis ball in, well, my knickers ... without showing anything (I mean it was just barely (no pun intended) PG ! I just looked to the HR guy and said "really?", and at my guy and said "don't be so stupid" and walked away. sigh

Just blocked. It also didn't bother them that my computer would drop into the void for up to 4 hours a day - just quit responding, though still doing something (not sure what.) They didn't care as long as the drawings were out on schedule. I was using hardware that was for sale on e-bay for $200 or so to run Pro/E. Great times.

Back to the OP...that's an odd duck.

Do you have a picture of it in place? I'm having trouble interpreting your drawing.

Looks like two studs placed toe to toe. Still an odd shape of stud.

My guess is that they are spot welded together at the webs

BA ...

do you mean "two studs, back to back" ? I'll stop now (no, I won't !!)

Googled "spreader bar" one day thinking I'd find a below-the-hook lifting device.
1st result was a piece of tube steel with shackles at each end.

Needless to say, those Google searches were interesting.
