Jack McCormac RIP 1

I know I am one of the few Clemson (especially structural, as far as I know) alums here.....but many here have probably read his text books......Jack McCormac passed on back in June:


I was reading a alum mag this weekend and noticed it. He was a guest lecturer for a couple classes (as he was retired by the time I was a undergrad). Impressive guy.

I learned reinforced concrete design from one of his books from my undergrad days. RIP.

I seem to remember that we used one of his textbooks at VaTech in the 60's, but that was before his time at Clemson. In his 80's, he continued writing, but a different genre, crime novels.
