Hi Team,

I pasted below picture, This is revolved profile pasted only a revolved section and this is sheet metal of 1mm thickness circular profile with section like this.
My question is on Blue marked Profile tolerance, where we have profile tol. 0.5 with respect to A,B,C but i have size limit at this point 0.3 plus/ minus 0.1 ie. total tolerance is 0.2 and how can i apply 0.25 profile tolerance (equal bilateral )
I think profile tolerance should be less then 0.2 size tolerance, i am right? or if 0.3 was a Basic then profile 0.5 was right, Am i correct?

ASME or ISO?
Which standards are governing this drawing?

We'll also need to know where datum A is... that may impact the interpretation.

2020Learner,

I would say that there are major issues with the requirements on the drawing, that make them difficult or impossible to interpret regardless of whether ASME or ISO standards apply:

-The two profile tolerances control the same geometry (both are All Around in the view shown) and would conflict with each other
-It is not clear why Profile of a Line was used instead of Profile of a Surface.
-The true profiles are supposed to be defined by basic dimensions, and the drawing shows a mixture of basic dimensions and directly toleranced dimensions
-The 0.8 +/- 0.1 tolerances both involve a line which appears to be out in space and not on a surface of the part

It looks like the designer did not have adequate training in GD&T. It's hard to say what the intent was with these callouts.
