Hi!
I am theoretically selecting material for a hardstanding storage area in a hot desert climate. I have already designed the roads. The roads will be a flexible pavement made up of different layers such as subbase, base, binder and surface. My selected surface course material was asphalt concrete (polymer-modified to help with the heat), which used various aggregates for the other layers. Now, for the hard understanding, what would be the difference? Will there be fewer layers needed? And if so, what would those layers be, and would the materials be similar to the ones I have selected for my roads? I hope what I'm asking makes sense
I appreciate your help.
