Hello,

We are facing an issue where a high temperature alarm for the oil inlet temperature occurs when the unit is not in operation. The oil temperature is normal when the unit is operating, so we believe this problem might be caused by heat tracing. Although the daily maximum ambient temperature was around 37 to 40 degrees Celsius, the compressors do not have this issue. Any ideas on how to analyze the cause and offer a solution would be appreciated.

Keep flowing oil through it?

How is anyone supposed to add anything given the lack of data here?

Also: If you get a response it's polite to respond to it.

If you are heating a constant volume of oil, its temperature must go up.
Look for heat sources and disactivate them when the unit is shut down.

many thanks for your reply. Yes, oil kept flowing through it.

Actually, we are trying to find out the root causes behind it. Is this normal? We need to power off the heat tracing during the summer.

Thank you very much for your advice. Yes, we did. The power to the oil pipe heat tracing has been shut down
