You're welcome! Actually I went for surface modeling because it was what suggested by Kyle but after reviewing the video, I realized the answer to your question was in fact yes. You can do it directly using the loft tool.

This icon means the touch screen mode is activated. There should be a hand-looking icon somewhere in the quick-access toolbar. Click on it to deactivate the touch mode. (Search "Touch mode" in the command finder if you can't find it)

Interesting case! I'm wondering if datum B should be on one of the side face instead. This way, for each section, the tolerance zone will be parallel to datum A and then datum B will define unambiguously the orientation. Am I thinking this right?

I concur with Kenat. We only use it for sheet metal parts. Although some machined parts are designed with a specific stock size in mind, we don't mentioned it for cases where the supplier want to start from a different size.
