Dear to everyone,
I have a model where I introduce surface residual stress value in 0.4mm. These values is introduced in the integration point of the element (in this case C3D8R).
Now, I would like to replace the surface residual stress by an equivalent surface traction. I mean, I would like to...
Dear,
I am trying to carry out the following steps in my model:
- Model.inp: remove one area of the piece with model change.
- Inport the model.odb with file/import/part deformable stage, choose steps.
- Remesh the model.
- Generate new model and remove other area with model change.
But I have...

Hello to everyone,
I am trying to introduce residual stress in the shell elements by SIGINI.
This thread is about Section Points and Integration Points notation in shell element and coordinate system.
To introduce residual stresses in the shell element through the thickness...
Helllo,
Fist and foremost happy new year!!!
Sorry for the late reply.I define eulerian surface in the the surface where flow enter and exit. But when I defined the nset to define
enter and exit zone of the flow I did not consider the nodes of the corner or border because if you consider this...
Hello,
I don´t know if this may help you but I avoid the problem of "Spatial adaptive mesh constraints can not be specified on nonadaptive node" defining the surface as Eulerian Region. You have to write in the .inp archive
that the surface you used for ALE has to be Eulerian region.
But still...
Hello,
I am writing to you because I have the same problem. This is my first ALE calculation and I do not know how fix the problem.
Do you resolve it?
Could you help me?
Regards,
Ane
Dear,
I am trying to introduce initial reidual stress in the surface of my piece. I am doing that with sigini subroutine.
I introduce in shell elements the residual stresses by KSPT (Section point number within the current layer.)
I have never use membrane elements and I do not know if it is...
Hello Mustaine,
First and foremost, thank for your suggestion. I can aplly tthe stress value over the surface. But now I am working with more difficult geometry and I have one problem with normal orientation. I do not know if you can help me.
I would like to introduce stress value over a...
Hello to everyone,
I would like to introduce stress value over a irregular surface. My intention is that I would like to introduce stress by SIGINI subroutine.
My proble in that I would like to introduce in Z direction 200MPA and in Y 50MPa, but I do not know how can I do that in irregular...
Hello,
I am trying to modelate induction heating process. Now, I am doing mechanical analysis, after carried out electormagnetic and thermal analysis. I am carring out the analysis in Abaqus explicit. This analysis, I think if I were not wrong, it could be steady stationary and I have to...
Hello to everyone
I trying to introduce machining residual stresses in the final piece surface. I have read some article which said that they mapped the residual stresses with 3
discrete subsurface layers into all machined surface. I understand they employ boundary layer mesh in Abaqus in order...
Dear Mustaine,
Thanks a lot for your suggestion, I will try to do it.
In the other hand, now I am trying to introduce movement effect with mass flow rate case. I have read in abaqus documentation that when the problem is uncoupled problem you can introduce the movement with mass flow rate.
I...
Hello,
I have done static thermal analysis and now I would like to introduce velocity to the tube.
Is it possible to introduce velocity in thermal analysis?
How can I do?
Thanks in advance,
Ane
Thanks a lot.
I will do that but before I have to install abaqus 6.16 because in abaqus 6.14 this elements is not supported.
Once again, thaks for your answers.
