    Kingnero thanks, can you explain why pipe dia 15mm to infinity =plates please, I know that a butt Weld in plate covers in pipe over 500mm or 150 mm rotation position if you can explain my question that would be great Thank you

    Hi weldstan it will be a PQR I should have asked the question a bit better to be honest if I was to use a 30mm die bar to a 30mm plate would that also qualify for a plate to plate joint I know that if you use 30mm thick it will take you from 5mm and anything grater according to 15614-1
