Kingnero thanks, can you explain why pipe dia 15mm to infinity =plates please, I know that a butt Weld in plate covers in pipe over 500mm or 150 mm rotation position if you can explain my question that would be great

Hi weldstan it will be a PQR I should have asked the question a bit better to be honest if I was to use a 30mm die bar to a 30mm plate would that also qualify for a plate to plate joint I know that if you use 30mm thick it will take you from 5mm and anything grater according to 15614-1
