    8.8 tensile strength

25,000lb? With perfect matching strength threads, I sure would like to see that single m10 lift a mack semi tractor.

    8.8 tensile strength

I used this calculator for the thread shear: https://www.engineersedge.com/calculators/external-thread-shear-area.htm

    8.8 tensile strength

Yes shear on threads. I thought someone was asking if the bolt itself was in shear. Its the bolted plate scenario, tensile in bolt direction. I have used multiple formulas and have come up with the same number. Is that in PSI and if thats the case do I multiply the area of the bolt x the psi...

    8.8 tensile strength

Its cast iron. Static, not dynamic and its tensile, not shear.

    8.8 tensile strength

    See if my math works: 10mm bolt = .375 shear dia x pi x thread eng x material shear strength = .375 x 3.1415 x 1" x 2922psi = 3442psi thread pull out. Hard to believe.

    8.8 tensile strength

I have some 8.8 10mm metric bolts that will experience load in tension. Rated at 830mpa but I am thinking I should be more concerned with thread pullout then tensile. I Could not purchase 10.9 bolts so was wondering if these would work and what the calculation would be for the thread pullout.

    Motor windings at commutator

Worked perfect. You are the motor man! thanks

    Motor windings at commutator

Can you guys tell me how to figure out this wiring problem. Only one bar is disconnected. All others have continuity but I have 3 loose wires. 2 have continuity to each other only, the other has continuity to all the bars. How di I wire this back up?

    Roller Bearing Cross ref

I cant seem to find a cross ref for 2 Hoover bearings 97200 and 97201. What year did they standardize? I am thinking somewhere in the 70's

    1hr rated storefront

interior storefront. pleanty of reasons like a one hour rated corridor. maybe in a school , an admin office off a corridor where you can see thru into the office or classroom. i think i have seen these online but someone told me you need wire glass for 1hr rating.

    1hr rated storefront

Do you have to have wire glass in a 1 hour rated storefront. I thought I some rated ones that were clear glass and 1 hr rated, 2 1/2" thick frame.
