Hi All,
I'm designing a compressed air system that gets a connection from a Plant Air compressed system at 7 barG. I want to size the connecting piping in the way that it can provide enough flow and pressure to the all spray nozzles in attached. There are two types of nozzles (S1 and S2) need...
Hi all,
I have a curve from a compressor supplier that provides Allowable nozzle loads based on the attached values (A line between Maximum force and maximum Moment). When I do Caesar II analysis I get Fx, Fy, Fz, Mx, My, Mz values at the nozzle location. How can I relate the F and M values...
Hi All,
We have a 12 m3 above-ground Diesel tank and fuel bowser fabricated and installed in Australia.
For the person who does the inspection and maintenance on this diesel tank, is there any certification or qualification required in Australia that he needs to have? Such as the Type B...
Hi All,
i received a stress analysis done in abaqus and have a question as using Inventor Professional 2022 to do similar analysis. In the received report instead of the stresses it talks about residual plastic strains in the material. If i want to do a linear static analysis in Autodesk...
Hi Mint,
Thanks for your response. Do you know European or US standard that refers to this issue? I cannot find any particular one in this regard.

Hi All,
I am working on a crane that will be used in Australia and I thought that people working in the railway or crane industry may be able to assist me.
According to the Australian standard AS 5228.1-2021 (Table 101) and AS 1418.1-2002 (Table 7.20.3.6), the fillet radius between the tread...
Hi All,
For a similar applications and a different motor fabricator, the bolt torque that the supplier provided us was 50% of the yield stress of the bolt. So, I'm a bit concern about of probability of the casing breakage if I want to torque it up to 70% yield.
thanks,
Thanks guys for replying.
I m looking to find the minimum torque that i can use to avoid breakage of the casing and in a same time can keep the drive in place.
I m thinking of using bolt grade 8.8 for this motor but using the torque specified in the standard bolt table is too high and may break...
Hi all,
We have an unbalenxed vibrating exciter for a vibrating screen and require to know what bolt torque is required to fasten the vibrating motor to the screen frame?
Considering the point that the motor is an old one and the manufacturer is not available is there any way calculate the...
TiCl4,
I checked with the guys and they are saying that Emission requirements forced them to use a dust extraction system (Wet Scrubber). Again no difference in my scope as I need to know the amount of steam and dust coming out of the slaking system. how should I calculate it?
thanks,
Hi Guys,
I'm based in New Zealand now.
It is located outdoors. Almost in all clients' sites, there are some Wet Scrubbers for quicklime slakers that collect the dust and sucks the steam out of the slaker mill.
there are not many articles published in lime subject.
I'll try to contact these guys...
Hi All,
