It could also be that these 2 engineers have worked there long enough that there is very little challenge for them anymore, and no challenge tends to lead to boredom. So they might see your enthusiasm and think to themselves we were like that once, as oppose to to being cynical towards you. To...
Save both the part and drawing as a copy then close out of both files and go into Solidworks explorer. Find your newly copied drawing on the left panel and select it. A tab at the top of the main panel should open called references, select it. A file name should show up and should have the name...
It wasn't Hurricane Obama or the Obama oil spill. If you put your name on something you better expect the majority of criticism to be directed to you, so you better stay in the loop and have significant input. Not saying that happened, but it is greatly in part to why he gets the criticism and...
Try checking your power saving settings under control panel>system and security>power options.
If you are in power saving mode it can cause your processor to downclock. Try switching it to the balanced option. It will reduce the amount of time you can run on your laptop battery but it will...
I saw this post which may be of use since you are using a NVIDIA card. https://forum.solidworks.com/thread/48662
Aside from that I have ever had this issue, its possible something went wrong with the install and it might be worth trying a fresh install.
Have you attempted to run SolidWorks Rx, there is a good chance that will give you an idea to where your problems are. That is if its related to hardware issues. The other thing i would check is if your video card driver is compatible, Rx will tell you that as well or you can check on the...
I just recently got the same mouse and haven't experienced that issue yet although I did seem to notice that it scrolled quite excessively when scrolling on webpages. What I did to remedy that was to go into SetPoint under pointer and scrolling settings and turned off smooth scrolling and...
I would make a 3D sketch and place your points that way. Here is a link on how to place coordinate points.

After you have your points you can either use the 3D sketch you already have or create another one and...
Get a puppy if you like dogs. Not only does it give you a companion, it gives you a topic starter and gets people coming up to talk to you. Also there tends to be a lot of great events for dogs depending on your area. This more than likely would also include a move since a lot of apartments...
Have you checked your selection filters? Go to view -> toolbars -> and click selection filters. Make sure that at minimum the filter for sketches is on.
Why can't you just use the broken view? In your model create a sketch where your floor should be then put a break in your drawing. Besides as far as I know that's the only way to show the break line on a dimension.
Do you have your sketch snaps on, under options>sketch>relations/snaps make sure horizontal/vertical lines is checked. For me it was set to default and when i drag my section line to set it it shows me a coincident snap location and a vertical line snap when attempting to select my location for...
It may seem obvious and most likely you have already done so, much in the same note the easiest and most likely things are often over looked. But when you go to print go under page setup and make sure the button is checked for scale to 100% because if you had a standard sheet size and printed it...
Have your EPDM Admin go into EPDM Administration right click on Users in the left task pane then click settings, under the check in option there is a check box to include drawings automatically when checking in the model, unchecking that should fix your issue. Hope that works for you.
