    NX1926 - Drafting Settings Question

Greetings: I'm new to the NX1926 version. When drafting, my centerlines come in at a 25 thickness. I would like to change this in settings, but have not been able to find it yet. Can someone help point to where we change this setting? Thanks, Brent

Greetings: In NX 12 and prior, I was able to measure the actual weight of a body. I'm not sure where to find this command in the latest version. Can someone help point the way? Thanks, Brent

    NX 1926 - Dimension Issue

Greetings: I have a part nested into a fixture. I took a section view of the round assembly. When I go to dimension the fixture and the part, the dimension will not allow me to select say an endpoint on my part. I use to grab endpoints from components without issue in NX12 and earlier. I...

Create Hole From Projected Line or Existing Hole

I just learned from one of the NX trainers that the new version has a new feature called "Project Point onto Target". They are trying to reduce or eliminate users from having to project geometry to create holes.

Create Hole From Projected Line or Existing Hole

Some more information, the hole command will recognized body features and sketch features, but not a projected circle?

Create Hole From Projected Line or Existing Hole

Also, I just noticed. I created a sketch to make the first set of holes (and like I said before, I usually could use those holes to create the holes in the next body), the sketch geometry allows me to select; however, the projected geometry does not. hmmmmm ????

Create Hole From Projected Line or Existing Hole

I believe I'm working in single part file with multiple bodies.

Create Hole From Projected Line or Existing Hole

Greetings, From NX12 and prior, I was always able to create a hole, either threaded or whatever, from a projected circle or even from the bottom of a clearance hole of a body that was directly on top of another body. Now when I attempt either of those in NX 1926, after clicking the hole...

Project Curve / Intersect Curve - Different after NX12

Greetings, We are now using NX 1926, we used to use NX12 and prior. I am currently attempting to project a curve from an imported .prt file. It seems to make that part file the current work feature (the one I need lines from), then when I go back to work on Displayed Assembly, the curves go...

NX VS 1926 - Drafting Decimals Issue

Greetings: I am currently drafting a part from a previous file and when I rapid dimension, I have the settings set for (3) decimal places. Some of the DIMs show up as 3, some 2 and some 1. I have set my preferences accordingly. When I double click a single decimal dimension, it shows it set...

NX12 Drafting Vs. NX 1926 Drafting - Subject Sketch

Greetings: In NX12, when drafting, I am able to type the letter "L" and this begins sketch mode with the line command. In NX 1926, when I type the letter "L", nothing occurs. I have to find the line command in the sketch application to perform this. I'm wondering if there is a toggle...

NX12 VS NX 1926 Series - Selection Option

Greetings: We have recently upgraded from NX12 to the latest version of NX. In NX12, for example, when I would be in model application, I could hover over any part of the model and wait for 3 dots to appear, which gave me the option to click and select from a list of items. In the latest...

    Diameter Symbol Far From Number

Greetings: I have version NX 1926 Series. When placing a dimension for a hold, the diameter symbol is far from the number it represents. I'm wondering if there is a setting that can be changed to modify this gap? Thanks, Brent

Export NX12 Drafting To AutoCAD - Question To Experience

Greetings: I am designing in NX12. Our customer requires 2-D AutoCAD. I know how to export to AutoCAD and properly scale and all of that; however, the AutoCAD file has to be cleaned up quite a bit. For example, angle dimensions change positions, so these require re-dimensioning, which isn't...

DRAFTING HELP W/ ANGLED SURFACE IN A BASE PLATE

Tomas, The reason we cannot use a projected view is that the angled surfaces do not fall on a quadrant, but angled from a quadrant. I actually did the created the intersection curve as mmauldin suggested, and this allowed me to create a section view facing this surface, thus, allowing me to...
