Create Hole From Projected Line or Existing Hole

Greetings,

From NX12 and prior, I was always able to create a hole, either threaded or whatever, from a projected circle or even from the bottom of a clearance hole of a body that was directly on top of another body. Now when I attempt either of those in NX 1926, after clicking the hole command, neither the hole next to the surface I wish to select nor the projected circle will allow me to actually select it. Is there a setting that I'm missing here?

Are you working in an assembly (with components) or in a single part file with multiple bodies?

Also, I just noticed. I created a sketch to make the first set of holes (and like I said before, I usually could use those holes to create the holes in the next body), the sketch geometry allows me to select; however, the projected geometry does not. hmmmmm ????

Some more information, the hole command will recognized body features and sketch features, but not a projected circle?

Is that projected object a real circle or does it only look like one and the geometry is a spline ?
( select the curve & Ctrl+I , the listing window will tell what type of geometry it is.)

I tried projecting a circle in NX1953 , then hole and selected the projected circle center as position, no problem.

I just learned from one of the NX trainers that the new version has a new feature called "Project Point onto Target". They are trying to reduce or eliminate users from having to project geometry to create holes.
