    3 sided open front could maybe work. The other sides are a vaulted hip roof so diaphragm discontinuity comes into play. A plate connecting the headers to the column could work. They would need to fur the wall out though.

    @Dik What do you mean? I'm inquiring about a turned-down slab vs sub walls. @TRAK.Structural It is two pours but why wouldn't you have dowels connecting the two pours? Otherwise, there could be differential settlement. All the footings should be connected.
