The damage in my above picture was totally unintentional. The employee was removing paint splatter. The wet pavement (asphalt or concrete) masks the damage to the surface finish until it dries. It is a very minor, but very visible, form of damage.
A friend of mine likes to tell the story of his...
This was done by a former employee with a 1500 psi pressure washer using a 25º tip. The property owner was less than thrilled. Luckily the parking lot is going to be seal coated after they finish painting the complex. Concrete is much harder than asphalt, but can still suffer the same type of...
If your not careful you can alter the surface finish and end up with a striped driveway. I've written my name in concrete with a pressure washer. With a 0º tip you can put a hole in asphalt.

The engine manufacturer will specify an acceptable range of oil pressure. As long as your high load/hot weather readings do not fall outside of this range you should be fine and your warranty should be valid.

I'm not a mechanical guy (though I've spent most of my life solving mechanical problems), so I'm not sure of the calculations, but I'd guess the lowering torque would be less than the loosening torque of a fully tightened nut.

If you intend for the gray painted part to separate from the white painted part in a controlled manner, I don't see a problem as long as the studs are at least the equivalent of the hold down bolts.

Is there any way you can post a picture or diagram? It sounds like it could work, but I'm not sure if I'm visualizing what you're doing correctly.

In my experience using the thickness of PTFE tape applied to control the angle of an output has been dismal at best. This approach is prone to leaks, either at installation or down the line. I don't claim to be an expert, but my +25 years experience working with pipe thread tells me that this is...
It's just a Ranger, I wouldn't consider it a 'heavy' vehicle. I never thought about it, but it does have a few inches of travel, where a car with power brakes might have one. I guess I'm just used to it.
How about this for fun: I was driving a Freightliner w/53' trailer across Montana when my...
The '88 Ford Ranger I drive to the office every day has manual everything, including brakes. You don't even notice it until you get into a car with power brakes and give your passenger whiplash at the first stop sign.

Sorry for the sidetrack. My dad told me that when he worked at General Dynamics, they used an ordinary household dishwasher to clean flux from circuit boards. Most of these boards were worth over $100k each.

A burette would give you a very accurate measure of consumption. Combine that with a stopwatch and you can calculate flow.

If I understand correctly, the air flows from the booth to filter to fan to duct to outside. Where does the booth air supply come from? I imagine it is filtered as well. What happens to the air flow when you prop open the booth door?
Terry
If the air the fan is trying to move has nowhere to go, you won't get any suction. Check for obstructions in the discharge path. I've seen birds and other critters nest in roof vents. Since the sharp decline was noticed after changing the filters, it leads me to think that something happened...
Is it possible that an adjustable baffle was inadvertantly adjusted while changing the filters, or one of the old filters was dropped into the duct?
Terry
I understand where you're coming from. I like having an abundance of information so I can accurately assess how a system is operating. From your bosses perspective, be able to clearly explain to him what difference having/not having a gauge/flow meter at a particular location will mean to the...
How much wrap do you have around the pulleys? The tensioner should be mounted as close as possible to the AC pulley to maximize wrap. Is it possible for you to post a picture of the setup?
