My Guess would be MGPE is" Marine Growth Prevention Equipment"
This is a system where Sodium hypochloride is created in a electrolysis machine and then piped into the sea suction chests to prevent the build up of marine growth inside the sea water cooling systems on ships...

Nazeer is correct, the engine manual will have the limits for machining and should also give part numbers for the oversized brgs that correspond to new size of big end.If not get in touch with B&W and get an up to date manual for it. B&W are notorious for revising part numbers , altering designs...
