    Torque-speed metering device

Thanks Bill. I thought I read somewhere that it can measure smaller torques, but that the beep function (beeping when a certain torque is reached) doesn't go lower than 29.5. We'll see... Gunnar, how does that device of you work?

    Torque-speed metering device

I don't need high accuracy. +/-5% is fine. I just ordered this to measure torque of a moving shaft. Measuring the speed is easy, so I guess I'm set. :)

    Torque-speed metering device

No, I literally just emailed them. A colleague of mine had the suggestion to take a battery drill and just measure the current to the motor and the current, and determine the speed and torque with that.

    Torque-speed metering device

Hello, I'm looking for a device with which I can measure the required torque at various rpm's. This way I could map the torque/rpm graph of various machines. Is there some device for sale that can do this? Thanks, Daan Haeyen

Model of a convertible softtop roof mechanism

Hi, does anyone have a model of a convertible softtop roof mechanism? Just the bars of course. I'm trying to model one, but it's tough... Thanks, Daan

    weldment cut list decimals

What do you mean? Back in the part file? Edit: that works, thanks.

    weldment cut list decimals

OK, this is strange. When I change the units decimals to none, the lenght gets updated, but the angle stays the same. Any thoughts on this?

    weldment cut list decimals

Hi, I use the 2014-2015 student edition. I see the problem now: I was changing the precision in the dimensions section. I should change the units in the unit section. Very confusing. Thanks! Daan

    weldment cut list decimals

Hi, I have the same question as in this thread: http://www.eng-tips.com/viewthread.cfm?qid=204860 The solution stated there doesn't work for me. The weldment cut list stays at two decimals.... Thanks, Daan

Would it be possible to make a rendering very similar to the V-ray one, in Photoworks?

Hmmm, the best rendering is not made with Photoworks... :)

Things that drive me nuts ...

I hate the undo function. It seems there are not a lot of things you can undo. Also, the way changes are saved: I have an assembly open. I open a part of it, edit it, decide it's not good and close it without saving. Then when I return to the assembly, all my changes are still there!! Is this...

Thanks, but I already read all that info. I just want to ask if anyone can compare these two cards in valua for money.

    Graphic card choice

Hi, I'm a SW teacher here in Holland. We need graphic cards, because the on-board Intel chip just doens't work. We can't afford expensive cards, but even a low-end CAD card will make a lot of difference for us I think. I'm checking out two cards: the ATI FireGL 3100 for 100 euros, and the...
