OK Carl. It was not my intension to upset anyone, but your initial reply to my post, on first reading, did appear a bit flippant. Anyway, applogies for my curt responce.
Now on to the request: We find that these days there is hardly any building that goes through our structural design office...
slightly off topic but...

Well CarlB, Its all about making life easier and more productive! One click and a return key stroke would be quicker than using AutoCAD standard 2-point align command especially if you have to align an object to a multitude of differing lines. And there's me thinking this was a help forum...
A month or so ago i enquired on here about a lisp for aligning text to an object (http://www.eng-tips.com/viewthread.cfm?qid=195691). I received a reply informing about the RRT lisp. It works perfectly.
Now after using it Ive been wondering if there is a similar lisp available to align one...
Ive got my own custom toolbars on my work pc (running 2007) which is due for an upgrade.
Ill still be using autocad 2007 on the new machine and would like to be migrate my existing settings (toolbars etc) onto the fresh 2007 installation on the new PC.

On some small scale structural / Civils layout drawings (eg 1:100) it is sometimes necessary to move the dimension text to aid clarity in conjested areas of the drawing. The the text placement on the standard setting (dimtmove = 0) is not often suitable.
Currently, If a dimension text needs to...
I prepare structural floor plans for buildings within an engineering consultancy - and modern buildings being what they are tend not to have a square wall on them. So I am constantly having to insert text then use the rotate command to approximatley 'align' it with the approprate lines on the...

Thanks for your help - I finally got them to migrate using the CUI interface - (Its a lot more akward to use than older version's 'customise' tool). I do still have a problem though but I think it should be on a new thread.
(Look for 'CUI interface problems?'

Like you I have created a separate set of toolbars in Mechanical 2005, leaving the original standard toolbars switched off. The problem is copying these toolbars into ACAD 2005, so I have the same icon layout whether I open Mechanical or 2005.
Is there a simple...
Weve recently upgraded from r2000i to Mechanical 2005 / autocad 2005.
Ive created my own custom toolbars in mechanical thinking that all i had to do was COPY the 'support' folder from within the mechanical program and PASTE/overwrite the appropriate folder in the autocad 2005 program...
In Acad 2000i and now in 2002 it is possible to bring up the text edit dialog box by double clicking on the appropriate text within a drawing. This appears to be the same with dimensions (again bringing up text dialog box (great for adding extra bits of text to a dimension). However at my new...

In R2000 & R2002 within the modify dimension style command there is the option to change dimension 'arrowheads' to various styles. We've recently discovered a glitch with this
style.
We use 2-layers for dimensions (grid line dims & general dims). We've discovered that if you use the...
