Hi guys,
I'm a junior engineer designing a kind of industrial shower head nozzle for water.
I wonder how to calculate optimal nozzle dimensions given pressure drop/flow rate.
I'd like to make or find an excel spreadsheet to do this.
DO I simply calculate as if I'm designing a single orifice...
It's a bit a of a unique design- different in design to typical fluid bed reactors. It will be fluid moving through a relatively densely packed bed.
The nozzle will not be doing any filtering, it will just have an in-built perforation to contain the catalyst beads INSIDE the vessel. There...
Hi Engineering gurus,
I am tasked with designing a nozzle for a kind of fluidized bed reactor, which will have high temp oil flowing through it and a catalyst of around 1.5mm diameter. The vessel will be a cylinder of 40cm d. x 250cm l.
Problem is, it needs to be back-flushed so must have some...
Hi gang,
Any suggestions on how to put this darn WC nozzle into a custom flange so it will not budge and may be removed down the line for replacement?
I'm sort of out of my league here; I need to figure out a way to secure a tungsten carbide flow jet (effectively a nozzle or plug) into a steel...
Howdy all,
I'm working on a high voltage insulating, high temperature ~300c prototype device.
PEEK is currently being used as an insulator in the device, does a higher temp resilient insulating material exist besides ceramic?
Thanks all!
Cameron
Howdy all,
I trying to proof test a prototype pipe flange cap that will be mounted to a 300 series 3" vessel that is designed to a limit of 25 bar and 250c.
The pressure is a no-brainer, but I wonder if there is a way to safely test the temp concurrently. I am in communication with my local...
