Here is another injection molding cost estimator. Probably better than the injection molding one I put in the OP.

I came across these cost calculators while doing some research for a project. Not sure if they will help you guys, but thought I would pass them along. First one is an excel file that is pretty in-depth. Second one is seems a bit more simple.
Blow Molding...
There is a common expression in aviation that goes like this:
"There are three criteria you can choose from for getting your project done:
1. Fast
2. Accurate
3. Inexpensive
Please Choose only two"
I think this applies particularly well for training new personnel. Ramping up technical...
A lot of hidden costs associated with using a "low cost region" supplier.
I came across this article and thought it might help with supplier selection for blow molding, but I think the guidelines hold true for other plastic manufacturing technologies as well...
This doesn't answer the question from OP directly, but it is a fantastic resource for private pilot related subject matter.

More specifically about maneuvers (such as crosswind landings and slow flight), the FAA...
Afarr ... What equipment are you generally working on? It can make a big difference in the price depending on the airframes, engines, etc.
Also, what level of experience do you currently have (years, certifications, etc)?
Both of those might help narrow down some ideas from this community...
I'd steer clear of a type rating for the sake of an engineering career. Much of the content will be very interesting, but not as applicable as most of the other options you mentioned.
Just my opinion. It probably wouldn't go into the depth needed on systems.
There are many designs in aviation that never make it past the conceptual phase. It isn't that this system couldn't be made to work, but aircraft design is driven by the economics of new technology. As others have said, this solution would add a considerable amount of weight to an existing...
These guys are extremely helpful when developing projects that involve plastics:

They've been around for over 40 years and know everyone in the business. I've asked them to help get pointed in the right direction for information, costs, etc. related to...
