    Totalzer Gas flow

1.Set a low Flow cutoff rate that is acceptable. (Eliminate that pesky 4.01ma) 2.Set a timer to execute at an acceptable sample interval. (10sec) 3.Run Calculation when the timer cycles. T = Timer Accumulator (In seconds) Q = Flow Rate (In GPM) A = Accumulated Total (In Gallons) Calculate A =...

    Fusing of Instrumentation signals

Sounds like they are just trying to: 1. Keep their I/O cards from being damaged due to field side shorting to ground. 2. They are looking for away to isolate for field service. 3. Just a broadband spec that they apply to every thing. In any case, if the RPM sensor is Hal-Effect over TTL, I...

    small low cost PLC options

Not sure what your doing but your spec would match a Redlion Crimson controller they Programs in "C" have multiple ports and includes many industrial protocols. For lower cost and you seem to not have a problem with “C” I would consider an arduino myself.

    Compact Logix and Boiler

Ya, it's that inhibit/uninhibit thing that we do not really like. When you have 1637 analog points that are continuously needing verification and scaling needs to be adjusted to match the properties of each device it gets complicated. Having to track each sensor to a channel, each channel to a...

    Compact Logix and Boiler

Dude, I thought you were indicating that there was a difference on how the cards scanned there I/O. Not the internal scaling. In most cases I have found the Cards Internal scaling to be very limiting. I prefer the use of SCP in most of my projects.

    BTU from Exhaust stack

I need to measure the amount of BTU's taken out of an exhaust stack by a piece of heat reclaim equipment. I need to do it on the exhaust side; the reclaim side has no way of accessing the exchange media. I have provisions for peto tube type flow meter and temp in and out. Can some make any...

Look at the PC port settings. Increase REPLY TIME OUT and max number of retries. Also in the KEPServer increase the Pulling time (Look under the topic). Iam not sure how much data you are pulling and at what speeds but I often find people over taxing thir systems.
