Farzin,
It's been a long time, but I think I remember buying Imaje parts from Marsh Micro Systems in Chattanooga, TN. Nice people. Not even sure they carry Imaje any more.

If you use a diode and 1K-ohm resistor as Skogs suggests, and if the diode fails as you suggest could happen, the resistor would have to dissipate over 1/2 watt while the relay coil is energized.
With colors of light, the primaries are Red, Green, Blue. Green is not a mixture of other colors. To get yellow, you "mix" red and green. And no, blue can't go negative.
I am no expert on this, but I do know pigment colors (Cyan, Magenta, Yellow) are not the same as colors of...
You may have quite a challenge in front of you. Probably the easiest way to get all that information would be to apply to be an "Authorized Service Center". Other than that, try to recruit someone who has worked at a service center.

I once had an application where the transformer inrush current was a problem. We used 'current limiting' fuses in place of the regular time-delay fuses. Maybe that would help?
I think MechEng is right about reasons for the encoder/resolver.
Chuck53: I don't think you will have any problems setting zero. Most PLS systems have a zero input, and many encoders also have a zero output. If you haven't already, check out Electrocam (www.electrocam.com). Very versatile...

I have worked with Marsh Unicorn printers for a similar application, though I don't think they did bar-coding, and found them to be pretty tough, as long as you are careful to line up the printer with the product being printed. (Crashes are not allowed!)
Their LCP series might do it...
It's been a long time for me, too, but I'll try to help.
An air cushion is really a small piston attached to the top and bottom of the larger main piston. The smaller one fits into a cylinder at the each end of the the main cylinder. When this small piston enters the cylinder at the end, it...
Maddog,
I think I see your point of having redundancy: If one power supply fails, the system will continue. (No problems here because of your diodes.) If one recorder/controler fails, the system will continue.
However, consider what happens if one of your resistors opens or shorts. Both...
