There is a scale feature so you just need to create a copy of the part then apply the scale feature to it.

Hi all
havinf recently upgraded to Solidworks 2006 at sp4.1 i notice all my files take an age to load. This appears to be due to photoworks information loading after the models have loaded. I tried switching off photoworks and this does speed things up, also i tried switching the add on back on...
I have just loaded SW2006 to test it before moving over to the new version. I do a lot of sheet metal work and one new feature that could save a lot of time is the automatic addition of flange lrngths to the sketch when creating an edge flange. I have created edge flanges in SW2006 and no...
Maybe this option is only on 2005 i have not had PDMWorks before this version.
I also have checked in small assemblies with around 10 or 20 parts in less than a minute, but i am talking about assemblies of around 200 - 300 parts, still not excessively large and these take a long while. The local...
When using PDMWorks having the include drawings option on makes check in so slow (over an hour) on anything other than the smallest assemblies. Does anybody else suffer from this problem and if so how do you get around it.

I have changed my working directory to a local directory and also moved the files to check in to a local directory.
This appears to stop the machine crashing but then i get the memory error you talk about.
What kind of modifications would be rquired to solve this problem.
I am having trouble checking in medium size assemblies into pdmworks, the system brings up a progress dialog with the label Query Info and spends a long while going through the files before crashing. Solidworks support tell me i should not see this query info dialog box. Does anybody else get...
(c) prefix indicates materials applied to either parts or assemblies within assemblies at a higher level, these overide materials applied at lower levels. the hierachy of faces, features, parts then assemblies still applies first
but with (c) prefix being dominant where all else is equal.
Does...
If this is the case can you explain why in the tree of an assembly a part can appear several times with finishes applied, if all these modify the part at part level what colour would it be and would the part not have three finishes applied. Also this still does not answer what the (c) stands...
Can anyboby tell me what the prefixes (a), (c) r (p) mean in the render manager, and a way of deleting materials applied at assembly level without deleting all those applied at part level.
