Hello everyone,
I was wondering if anybody can help me?
I am trying to create a material, and unable to find the relevant information in order to do so.
Ther materials are:
Low density foam 24kg/m³
Medium density foam 104kg/m³
High density foam 144kg/m³
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Has anyone come across a setting which needs to be turned on/off in order to get rid of an error message?
Basically if there is no description/material etc in the model, which would otherwise be linked in the sheet format there is an error message coming in. See the attached jpeg.
Thanks
Appologies for the caps lock on. Didn't think it was a problem.
The point you refer to Rfus, is not visible on my screen, is there an option that must be turned on in order to dimension to it?
thanks
THANKS FOR THE REPLY,
THE ARC IN WHICH THE TEXT IS "FIXED" TO IS FULLY DEFINED. A REBUILD ON THE PART ALLOWS THE TEXT TO JUMP TO THE APPROPRIATE SPOT IN WHICH IT IS MEANT TO BE. THE ACTUAL TEXT IS BLUE, WHICH SIGNIFIES AN UNDER DEFINED SKETCH.
DOES ANYBODY KNOW HOW TO FULLY DEFINE AN EXTRUDED TEXT FEATURE? CURRENTLY THERE ARE OVER 100 CONFIGURATIONS OF DISCS WITH TEXT RUNNING AROUND THE PERIMETER OF THE DISC. WHEN OPENING A NEW SIZED DISC THE TEXT STAYS WHERE IT WAS FROM THE PREVIOUS DISC.
THANK YOU
Borobrush,
when i need new fixing lengths i go to TOOLS, OPTIONS, DATA OPTIONS, EDIT STANDARD DATA, find fixing goto length and add new size and length at the bottom.
You can yow drag this new bolt from the toolbox and your new config will then be created
THE REASON WHY I WANTED TO PUT WEIGHT INTO THE DESIGN TABLE WAS BASICALLY BECAUSE I WANTED SOLID WORKS TO WORK OUT THE WEIGHTS OF SEVERAL HUNDERED ASSEMBLY CONFIGS TO ADD THEM INTO A SEPERATE EXCEL SHEET.
CAN ANYBODY HELP?
HOW DO YOU ADD A CONFIGURATION SPECIFIC WEIGHT INTO A DESIGN TABLE? THERE ARE NO PARAMETERS TO DOUBLE CLICK ON TO GET IT TO GO INTO THE DESIGN TABLE. THANKS
can anybody help?
when changing a part in an assembly for another config, you theoreticaly can change the configuration in all configs of an assembly. by clicking properties a drop down menu comes up in config specific properties, and below that is "change properties in" where you can select...
Thanks for the replys guys,
I got my picture in OK, but the problem now is that the tag plate is a curved surface (attached to a pipe), when the curve is applied (FLEX feature) the model fails !!
It looks great flat but curved and on a pipe.....not so great
Any suggestions ?
Thanks Guys,
Also when I create a new material within our Company materials database, I tried setting the hatching to 'none', but when I try editing or using the material it always reverts back to the default setting of 'hatch'. Why does this happen?
I wonder if anyone can help ?, i have a large number configurations within a model that has a lot of features, cuts, extrudes ect some used (unsupressed) and some unused (supressed), is there any way of telling which configuration(s) a specific feature is used on?
I am running SW2005
