Hi,
I've written a UMAT calling external subroutine DGESV, which should be in the MKL.
But got the error as:
"error LNK2019: unresolved external dgesv referenced in function “
I'm using Aba2018+VS2015+IVF2016 and also written /Qkml in compile command.
Looking for some help!
Thanks!
Hi,
I submitted a job but got an error:
"Abaqus/Standard Analysis exited with an error - Please see the message file for possible error messages if the file exists."
And the message file :

Hi,
I've got a question about the *ORIENTATION, the material orientation in Abaqus. If a tensile bar has some material with different orientations but the whole model defined as isotropic, will the orientations change the tensile behaviors?
Thanks a lot!
Hi,
I'm new to UEL subroutine and start to learn it with the example .inp .for files from the user manual.

Hi,
I'm trying to use the user-defined MPC, and according to the manual saying that for keyword *MPC:
*MPC,user, mode=node
1, nset1, nset2, nset3, nset4,...
however, when I applied the interactive MPC constraint, the generated .inp file writes:
*MPC, user, mode=node
1, matserset, slaveset...
Hi,
I have got two models with the same dimension, are both meshed with the C3D8 voxels, without any geometry instance in the model.
What I'm trying to do is to delete the overlapping voxels between two models, like the function as "cut instance".
Looking for some help!
Thanks!
@FEA way
it's a tensile bar with voids in it, the material is Ti alloy with ductile damage.
I have attached .inp file for it

Hi,
I've conducted a tensile test in explicit with mass scaling, however, the result seems not to meet the real situation, didn't break in the middle part...the load is applied on the bottom and top surface of the bar.
looking forward to have any solution to it, thanks a lot!
Hi,
recently studying and working on the DUCTILE DAMAGE model as shown in picture
it got fracture strain, stress triaxiality, and strain rate. Also, has a subsection for damage evolution.
I'm wondering if this model could be substituted through a UMAT? Or need to combine with the UDMGINI...
Hi,
I'm trying to use Abaqus and Isight on Linux, and so sure about the successful installation, but encountered a problem when reading the .cae and .odb file by Abaqus component in Isight, as followed:
I can find the abaqus.aev and it locates in /home/abaqus/.../site
Really confused, need...
@FEA way
Do you have any suggestions?
I use .cae as input and .odb output. Target value and simulation value are both read from the .txt file. The optimization part I use Hooke-Jeeve, to minimize the sum of squared difference...
Hi,
I'm using Isight to fit the experiment curve by changing the material constants, however, the "sum of squared difference" remains the same, and actually I followed step by step from the tutorial.
Need your help! Thanks a lot!
Hi,
I've run a tensile job with given plastic behavior, however, I wondered the yielding stress point turns out to be much higher than the input one. Attached is the input file https://files.engineering.com/getfile.aspx?folder=4d2a2e6e-a03c-41b3-a223-0365b70c20c3&file=FACE.inp

Thanks, @FEA way! Could you please briefly introduce how should I implement other scaling methods? What I know is just the semi-automatic mass scaling...
Hi,
I'm doing a tensile simulation test with CPE3 elements in EXPLICIT, a time period in 0.1.
In order to save time, I tried mass scaling options by changing "scale to target time increment of " to 1e-6, 5e-6, 1e-7, respectively, and "frequency" to every 1 increment.
However, each simulation...
Hi there,
my simulation result of crack shows with exaggerate element, as shown in the image:
already click the element deletion, STATUS.
Any suggestions to it?
Need your help!
Thanks a lot!
