This might or might not be the problem. This happened to our 2030 machine. Take the cutting head off, then unscrew the locking mechanism completely and check that the spring inside is not damaged or mangled. If it is, it will prevent the head from sitting flush/straight.
Haven't got around to trying with air yet, but wouldn't that speed the process of oxidation along the cut edge resulting in rust down the track?
Currently using the following parameters. Cut is reasonable but I am sure it could be faster and cleaner
