Hi Costas,
I have found a company which are helping me with the noice calculations. We are currently looking at the 10", flow rate 690m3/h, pressure drop 4,5 barg problem as this is the simples of them. A it looks now this can not be done with one orifice. We are now looking into other...
Hi Varsamidis,
Thanks for your input, do you have knowledge of a company that can do a calculation/ simulation for something like this? We need to demonstrate that the cavitation and noice level will be at an acceptable level.
Tom
Hi,
I am currently work on two different cases where I need to reduce pressure in a seawater pipe.
1. 10", flow rate 690m3/h, pressure drop 4,5 barg
2. 10", flow rate 1600m3/h, pressure drop 9 barg
Today we have installed orifices but these are creating cavitation and the vibration and noice...
Thanks for your response rmw.
You are right,, we do have a relatively high pressure drop.
I guess I should have provided more info to make my question more interesting.
As I have left work for the weekend I will just have to take the numbers as I remember them;
the pipe is 10", normal flow...
Hi,
I am having a problem with cavitation and to much sound from an orifice in a seawater system.
I am looking for a program, an excel-sheet or a company that can calculate this. Any ideas aynone?
I have spent some time searching and come up with nothing so any help would be highly...

Hi,
Unfortunately I can't remember what I used but it was something from Microsofts site
You could have a look at this;
Microsoft Global IME (Input Method Editor) 5.02 for Windows 95, 98, and NT 4.0

Hi,
I don't know of any tool that can do multiple scripts but Multi-Batch (http://www.multi-batch.com/) can probably do what you are asking for.
As for modifying attributes (I take it that you mean the properties of the attributes),, I think you will have to update the original block and then...
Hi,
TN-S means that you have a seperate neutral and a seperate protective earth wire running throug your system. TN-C means that they are combined.

Haggis,
Taken that you just wants to run Autocad, I agree. My point is that for work-purposes, if you'r in a network, running a Virus program, Lotus Notes, Excel etc. this is not sufficient. When logged on (running only company standard "start-up" applications, my machine uses 230 MB...

Bsantana,
I got a LT2000i and I opened the TIF file, copied the image and pasted it into my drawing. Can this be done in LT2000? or is it something that came with LT2000i?
Tom
Yinger,
I am normally using 2002 but I also have an LT,, having said that, it is a LT2000i and I don't remember the difference between LT2000 and LT2000i.
When after installing my LT I had problems starting it up (some sort of bug) but when doing the changes in my start-up routine it worked...
Yinger,
You type "rememberfolders" in the command line (bottom of ACad).
I am not sure what you mean by "start in" folder. There is some options on startup (tools, options, system), if that's it, try to change it to traditional or turn it off.
Tom
Hi,
You could try this:
Change the Default Drawing Folder
Each time you start AutoCAD, the last used paths in each particular standard file selection dialog box are remembered across AutoCAD sessions. Alternatively, you can configure AutoCAD to always default to a particular path by changing...
