    D is modal but as Joycejo stated we may have to stop mid program so it needs to be there... ill see about the force part in the first, but the second is the real issue. Thanks for the replies I may repost in the other forum just to see it they have any ideas..

    EXPORT STEP FOR SELECTED SOLIDS TO SELECTED DIRECTORY

    In the export window there should be a tab that says "DATA TO EXPORT" in the drop down change it to selected objects. then select you object in the graphics window. then go back to file and select a destination. at least that works for me. [2thumbsup]

    When I was trying at first I made the mistake of publishing the entire workbook. and it was giving me errors. then I changed my selection to republish sheet only and hit publish and it worked fine. hope this helps

    rough finishing tool path

    i am getting very rough tool path when trying to finish a 3d contoured part in 3axis movement using contour area non steep... in NX 7.5.. can anyone shed some light on what settings could help smooth this out.
