For a random loading on the theory side - get yourself on the NASA reports server and search for 'Joint Acceptence' --- I'm assuming as an aerospace chappy, you are interested in acoustic coupling to cylinders.
BUT, as I am an aerospace chappy (and acoustic engineer) I'll tell you it is not a...
10dB comes form 10 log (10) --- base 10 log
3+3 = 6dB
3+3+3+3 = 9dB etc
i.e. it assumes 10 incoherent sources all with the same LW and directivity.
If you double the pressure on a single output then add 6dB.
If you double the sound power on a single output then add 3dB.
If you add...
I guess this is a Nastran not Patran question but my first guess would be
STRAIN(PLOT,SORT1) = ALL
Don't expect Patran to be able to plot everything that Nastran spits out or that it does it properly - Patran does not work well with dynamics.

S.
I don't use it, but instead write an alter to find the matrix and punch it. (e.g. MATPCH KXX //$)
in fact, I prefer OUTPUT2 not punch.
Start with (diag 8,14,15,56 $) and find the matrix you want to punch.

S.
I would say yes, an alter is possible.
BUT, my route would be OP2 and Matlab. It will take you as long to learn the DMAP language and its strangeness and it will not make plots for you.
But, each element type in the OP2 has an individual stress/strain output. So it could take some time to...
No offence intended, but it sounds like you need to learn the idosyncracies of your pre-processor.
Patran is a nightmare for being "unintuitive" - as are the rest.
My guess, it has equivelenced nodes and not cared that it is a ctria or you have managed to create an element along a line, it...
I have it on some good advice (ex-MSC coder) that the dof manipulation is done in the solver, e.g. FRDD1 (or whatever it is called). The wavefront solving is internal, so the input to the solver is not already optimised.
What goes in is in order and so too what comes out. BUT this is not...
Not sure if understood fully, and making a few assumptions... Does it matter where the origin is? Can you not define a local system in the "axis 1" structure? If the bolts are in the same place on the original and new structure (but have been translated and rotated), then transformation in...
