Thanks in advance, group, for any help with this.
Q/1
I am finding conflicting opinion on the weldability of 7000 series aluminium alloys (in particular 7005). Older texts seem to say "not viable" and that it's "considered not structurally weldable in engineering circles". And yet empirical...
VERY new to AutoCad... had it running fine for a month or so... then suddenly get the following message (whenever I try to start it) and the program aborts.
AutoCAD Error Aborting
FATAL ERROR: All of the possible directories for storing temporary files either do not exist or are read only...
This is a terribly old thread I'm digging up here, but perhaps those haunting this rarely used forum may still be interested.
I would suggest it is a simple matter of chain alignment... one cog to the next relevant to the rear cluster.

Thank you both for your input. As engineers in the Bicycle industry, part of our work is finish coating after frame repairs and I was looking for a filler (per above requirements) for purely cosmetic "dents" (those not threatening frame integrity) so as to avoid undue application of heat (per...
ACtrafficengr, not wishing to hijack Wolfdog's thread (but I do think he's got about all he's likely to get to be honest), I understand the need for the AASHTO... there has to be SOME standard, but there really are so many variables. I agree (for instance) that a full suspension bike will...
Hands up all of you who read right through that thread suggested by Kenneth?
I did, and there really CAN'T be anything else to add to this thread now.
Thank you for the link, Kenneth.

Am looking for advice re a heat resistant "body filler" (similar to auto body filler) capable of withstanding 200-230 degrees C.
For use on steel, CrMo & aluminium alloys to fill small surface imperfections and "dents" prior to powder coating (cured @ the above temps)
Many thanks.

Wolfdog, I think that Nigel has supplied you with all that it's possible to supply. i.e. "requirments" re braking performance.
A study of actual stopping distances and performance would be next to useless because of the huge number of variables to do with frame design, front suspension, actual...
Recently came across this tubular section

used in bicycle frame manufacture... and would appreciate any info or comments on "fluid formed" aluminium tubes in general (or directions to said info).
For anyone interested in...
