PDM Works running on a Novell network

Nathan Thanks for your input. This is the first encouraging news I have received on the subject. If you are running the two just fine then the only conclusion I can come up with is that your Novell must have the right switches and settings to accomodate PDMW. Are you using a network drive or...

PDM Works running on a Novell network

Thanks for the info. You have confirmed what I suspected. Now I wonder why our VAR (not sure what value they add) didn't inform us when he was well aware that we had Novell prior to selling us the useless software.

    blocks

The easiest way I have found to import autocad sketches to a SW part is to first orient the acad file relative to 0,0 in acad and open the acad file as a drawing in SW. open a sketch on your part, use "insert sketch from drawing", toggle to the SW dwg, select entities, toggle back to...

    critical dimensions

Thanks for your timely response. That is a possible solution but I was looking for something "bullet proof" that would have the same meaning to the mom and pop shop as well as the hi-tech CNC operations. I would have thought that the ASME would have adopted a standard to address this...

    critical dimensions

Critical dimensions on drawings have become an issue at my company and my question is: Is there a standard symbol or method of indicating specific dimensions on a drawing are critical to the design form, fit or function of a part to the supplier as well as incomming inspection?
