    speed governor

let me clear this digital speed governor simply is a digital control panel with integrated voltage regulator, this panel used to control and regulate the output of the turbine or generator. http://www.ucmr.com/galerii/imagepages/image-cap23.html

    FM 200 design concentration

stookeyfpe: you are right Class A can be used also for electric applications but this is only if the electrical supply is isolated (shutdown) during suppression. So, if you have an application where the electrical supply is live you have to consider class C hazard. thanks for your help

    FM 200 design concentration

I learned from the internet that class A is used for surface fire and Class C for electrical fires. for my curiosity to learn more I would like to know the design concentration for Class C fire? any help is appreciated..

    higher SST

Imok2: thanks for your input TXiceman: the reason for my concern is to increase the compressor effficincy, The higher the suction gas superheat, the lower the gas density and therefore, the lower the compressor mass flow rate. most Manufacturers set SST from 20-50*C , is there any problem in...

    higher SST

Forgive me for my ingnorance, I have what may be a elementary question regarding DX cooling system. Q.What would be the highest acceptable saturated suction Temprature(SST)in R-22 DX ? how to achive higher SST in the system ? Thanks in advance for any input.

    duct design

briand2: I agree with you that when fan is selected to suit the system the air will flow to the latest part of the duct whatever the velocity is, but my concern is the terminal or (neck) velocity near the diffuser. I beleve there are some limitations for the neck velocity to avoid noise...

    duct design

ChrisConley: thank you for your input. regarding the min friction rate, I am confuised with your reply. what I understand that air flow should be with sufficiant velocity to conevy air through the duct . if firiction rate is too low, the air flow will not be distrbuted in the zone propelry due...

    duct design

how many supply branch ducts can be taken off of the main duct before reducing the main duct size? can I size the main duct at 0.1 in wg/100 ft, then size the branch duct for noise sensitive room at 0.05 in wg/100 ft. what is the lowest friction rate that I should not select?

    Scroll Vs Reciprocating Compressors.

quark: you mentioned one of the advantages of scroll compressor is that "it Can handle liquid to some extent (atleast there won't be any damage)" could you pls. explain this? MintJulep: thank you for your interest,I am currently taking quotes to have air conditioning installed in new office...

    restroom/toilet ventilation

As per Mechanical Code the for restrooms, the level of exhaust typically is 50 cfm per water closet or 2 cfm per square foot. What is exhaust (cfm) of wash basin/lavatory? In case if cooling is required, how to size the supply cfm of the restroom ?

    Equal Friction Method

To design air duct by Equal Friction Method, the friction factor of 0.1 in wg. Is used as a rule of thumb for all supply duct sizes. And 0.8 is used for sizing the return duct. When energy cost is high and installed ductwork cost is low, the low friction rate design is more economical. My...
