Yes, thank you.
All of the above is true, I'm learning GDT by myself and I will also attend a course in the near future. I am also gathering information about this kind of business in my region. I see that in Germany there are many businesses that specialize only in CF design and building. In...
ctophe: thank you, I understand.
MintJulep: yes, I allready searched this term, thank you
SparWeb: I acctualy have a bachelor of science degree in mechanical engineering/design. In my 5 years of study I haven't come across any information that had to deal with tool and die making....sad isn't...
Ok, thank you Drawoh :).
Ctopher: I meant a go-nogo fixture. Do you have any examples that you could share with me. Looks like I am not a real threat at all ;).
Hi,
I would like to start business designing and building checking fixtures.
I was searching the internet, but I can't find an example of a checking fixture that I could study. For example GrabCad has a few of them, but there are no GD&T requirements that the design is based on.
If there is...
Ok, I see noone is answering.
Let's say we got a 4 mm thick sheet and we want to cut out a diameter of 800mm. The rolling knife has a diameter of 110 mm.
I only need the formulae for the forces acting on the knife...please.
Thank you,
Hi,
can anyone help me with defining the force that is needed for shearing of sheet steel (st.37) with 2 rotating blades? The principle can be seen on this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=da99re5O0Rc.
I need to define the force for penetration (blades going down) and for rotation of the...
Hmm. Ok...the section must be corrected to 500 and steel needs to be used because of the temperature change. The section calculation is on the save side because I don't count in the section of the sensor (or not?). The force will be applied on the center so there will be no torsion...
What kind of sensor would you suggest? Load cells need to have the force input at the mounting hole, I suppose that a bending moment could damage the load cell. Isn't it so?
Hi
I was wondering if this sensor could be used also to measure bending deformation. In the data-sheet no direction of loading is specified.
Can it be bend in both directions or only into the tensile direction?
Is this calculation correct:
Thank you for your help.
But it looks like this exe file is not working by me. When I first started it..it gave an error, that the zlib.dll is missing. I copied a zlib.dll file that I found in programfiles/Solidworks...folder to the folder with the exe file. Than it started. But it seem like it...
Ok. Let's forget about the Hirth coupling. The positioning can be also done continuously. I'm thinking about a roller clutch whit a release button, to bring it back to start (I can't push it around).
Is anything like that available on the market? How is it called?
The main function of the gear is to sustain a static loading of 200Nm with minimal axial force (spring). The accuracy is not much that important. The lever just needs to be adjusted to best fit the ergonomy of the operator.
What kind of tolerances (if the outer ring diameter of the gear is...
Hi
I would like to have angular positioning of a lever with a Hirth couplung. Is it posible to design a couplung with one side of the tooth perpendicular (0° angle) and the other side normal (30°)? How difficult is to maschine such piece.
The problem:
I would like to have the rotation of the...
