    Opening on Blind Flange

Sorry i dont understand What happens when i design a new flange? How can i buy it or made it?

    Opening on Blind Flange

its easy to design it(by codecalculation by PVElite) but it will cause lots of trouble to be forged.

    Opening on Blind Flange

According to pressure/temp rating i shall use ansi flange class300. Is it possible to use a class600 flange to solve this problem because i dont want to desin and order a new designation to be forged. i want to buy a std flange.

    Opening on Blind Flange

hi engineers i want to design a 20L reactor with 20bar pressure and 200c temp and on top of it there is a STD. 10 inch blind flange. there should be a mechanical stirrer mixer in the reactor and i should consider an opening on the blind flange but i dont know how much diameter i should consider...

how does pvelite(or VIII div.1) calculate the mawp of nozzle?

there is noting in ug-37 to compute mawp of the nozzle. in the pvelite we get just a report of final value that says "Converged Max. Allow. Pressure in Operating case = --- ". there is a way in app.1-10 to calculate it but there is nothing in anywhere in asme bpvc.

For values of A falling to the left of the material/temperature line see Step 7

thanks for your reply i know that i should go to step 7 but im asking that what does it mean that we dont have such value of factor A in the chart ?

For values of A falling to the left of the material/temperature line see Step 7

hi what is the technical and theoretical meaning of this statement in ug-28 of asme bpvc? in other words whta happen when value of a falling to the left of the mat./temp line? For values of A falling to the left of the material/temperature line, see Step 7. Step 7. For values of A falling to...

hole for nozzle is larger that the OD of the nozzle

hole for nozzle is larger that the OD of the nozzle

hi in one of our project when we wanted to insert and fit up and weld the nozzle to the shell we founded that the hole is larger than the OD of the nozzle. are we allowed to weld overlay to fit it and use the present wps or we should do s/th else? is there any reference that prohibit or allow...

can any one advise me the method to

i think u should go for ug-39 in asme bpvc sec viii div.1 if u r using this code of design and construction

distance between two longitudinal seams if they are in the same shell

so this means we have to consider it from u-1(g) BPVC and our engineering judgement.

distance between two longitudinal seams if they are in the same shell

i havnt found any code source for this issue. but from my view point it would be desirable to separate two weld joints ass long as prevent their HAZs to overlap each other.

distance between two longitudinal seams if they are in the same shell

The distance between two longitudinal seams in the adjacent shells shall not be less than 5t where t is the thickness of the thicker joint as per API-650, I wanna know what should be the distance between two longitudinal seams if they are in the same shell? off course it depends upon the...

would u introduce me a source to study about it? is it in the asme or ...? regards

how does pvelite(or VIII div.1) calculate the mawp of nozzle?

hi i wonder if anyone tell me how does pvelite(or VIII div.1) calculate the mawp of nozzle and nozzle reinforcement?

discrepancy between fig ucs-66 and fig ucs66.1

hi engineers i have found a dicrepancy in ucs-66 and i would be so grateful if u clear this gray area for me. due to the fig ucs-66 if the thickness increase the mdmt temp decrease and it makes sense cos if the thk. of the plate increase the toughness decrease. but due to fig ucs-66.1 if your...
