You could make a pattern file of your title block for each project. Then use that pattern on each drawing. This what we do and it works pretty well.

Try offsetting the gusset so that it is inside of the tube. If it is tangent it is common that it will not unite. Give it a try. DP

I just tried your sugestion but I was unbale to select the model after I specified the attribute. Is there anyway this could be automated when the file is first added to the assembly using mold wizard rather than a secondary operation?

I have found that you can also highlight (select) the cells you want in the NX BOM and hit <ctrl C>. Then simply paste <cvtl V> into excel. This makes for a down and dirty way to do it.
