thermal transient problem on Y direction

Unfortunately i don't have license for CFD, I just have Mechanical Premium. :(

thermal transient problem on Y direction

Hi all, I think it's better to explain with this example: It's also a 2D analysis, in on the bottom there is a resistor where there's applied a tension, the rectangle around is environment that i need to study. Resistor material is alluminium, and environment is air. I have a bonded contact...

thermal transient problem on Y direction

@FEA_way i need to see how temperature distribution is close to my element and be capable to measure temperature also inside this "Air area". Is possible to have this with another way? @Erik understood but for me it's important to see a temperature variation in this area. Thank you all for answer

thermal transient problem on Y direction

thanks for advice. I altready tried to adjust colour data to see if it is, but not. According to you what can i modify on my boundary conditions to get vertical effect? Thank you

thermal transient problem on Y direction

I need to know temperature in air at the corners, that there are distances where i need to know temperature.

thermal transient problem on Y direction

Hi all, i'm trying to performe a 2D transient thermal study, but i don't know how to insert a data. I need to see how heat is exchanged in air, with Y direction (Vertical). I have a steel component, heat flux in left side of it and air. Red line i designed is what i wanted to have:

Hide faces in "Equivalent stress section"

Thank you. But i was searching something different, and i found trying: - select faces - assign name - Insert, for example, Equivalent stress and on it, "Geometry", select name assigned to faces. Then i can see stress only on that faces. Regards

Hide faces in "Equivalent stress section"

Hi all, can i hide some faces in Solution, for example in Equivalent stress? Because i have a cylinder and i need to show just internal face stress. Thank you

    Material Treated on Ansys

I found "surface coating" command, in geometry section

    Material Treated on Ansys

Hi all, is it possible to perform a calculation with a material treated? I need to evaluate a Aluminium 6082 Anodized 10um. According to you is it possible to create a sort of skin, or i have to use different materials data to the base one, or treatment? Thank you!

    Volumetric Expansion

Thank you all. @FEA_way i mean that i have a chamber that contains hydraulyc fluid, and i need to see how much volume i will have after 10 bar applied.

    Volumetric Expansion

Hi all, i need to understand how volume i increase in a chamber if i apply 10 bar pressure. Is there available a way to get this information? Thank you

    Penetration in frictional contact

Hi everyone, i have a question about "frictional contact" (0.3). I have a pressure inside a chamber that makes a volumetric expansion of the wall. Where red highlighted there's pressure 4MPa. The higher and lower component are in structural steel, the middle one in PA. This is the result of...

    Strange results

Hi rickfischer51, I used for pin and bushings just "Structural Steel NL" got in "Engineering Data" of Mechanical. I also tried to set for 50& GF "Bilinear Isotropic Hardening", but i didn't have different behaviour. Tangent modulus is given by the slope from first point (Strain 0, Stress...

    Strange results

Yes it's glass fiber. But according to you why bushes in structural steel has higher stress in comparison with plastic surface? Thank you

    Strange results

Hi klaus., no it's correct because it's a plastic structure.

    Strange results

    Hi L_K, i inserted some steps: step X Y Z 0, = 0, 0, = 0, 1, 0, 125, 0, 2, = 0, 250, = 0, 3, = 0, 500, = 0, 4, = 0, 1000, = 0, 5, = 0, 2000, = 0, But solution is the same. Bushes with a high stress. :(

    Strange results

Hi, thanks L_K and rickfischer51 to reply. I think that there's a problem on material data input. I inserted data (Stress strain) on "Multilinear isotropic hardening" (Plasticity), is it correct? The problem is that in steel bushes there's too high stress in comparison with palastic material...

    Strange results

    Hi everyone, I've a problem on my model. I installed a new ansys version (2019 R1) in a new PC. I insert a plastic material data and start to do a calculation: Young Modulus: 17000 MPa Poisson ratio: 0.35 mm/mm MPa 0 11 0,00129 60 0,00340 95 0,00888 140,5 0,01399 158,3 0,01798 169,1 0,0240...
