Thanks for the clarification John, so another words if someone is still using NX9 they could use the N-Sided Surface Feature to achieve a similar surface as shown in your video. I tried this in NX9 using the N-sided surface feature and I was able to create the spherical surface similar to your...
John,
After watching the video example you attached, I followed your steps in NX9 and the creation of the "Fill Surface" feature requires that you select "Edges" only. I tried the same thing in NX10 as your example was performed in and the "Fill Surface" Feature now allows you to select curves...
This is an excellent question as I am also looking for a way to do this. I have yet to find an easy way to Hatch surfaces in the drafting side of NX. If you don't have a good enclosed area the the two options for hatching surfaces don't work very well in drafting.
I am using NX6.0.1.5 MP 1, when I subtract a tool body from a target body the new surface created isn't reacting the way that it did in previous versions (NX4, NX5). I have my boolean face properties set up this way:

You can't save a part in an older version after it's been saved in the newest version. For example if you work on a part and save it in NX6 you can no longer open and save that part in NX5. There is no backwards compatibility in the NX products.
I've also experienced this phenomenon, same exact description as the original poster. The only way I was able to remedy it was to perform a "System Restore" in windows to an earlier time frame. In order to do this you need to have administrator rights. In Windows XP Professional you have to go...
First I'll give a brief background about my setup and situation.
-We are a small company with 15 seats of NX.
-Previously each user's PC had a complete install of NX5
-Being a smaller company this wasn't a problem however now that we're starting to grow it's becoming an issue
-We are currently...
Apparently the GTAC servers are overloaded because I can't even get into the download area. Oh well I guess I'll just wait for the DVD to show up in the mail.
