Sometimes when creating/editing a feature there's an option to "merge" it with the model... The bulk of the model is made from a single sketch using revolve, correct? And all the arcs are tangent to one another? Hmm. In my experience that should be enough to satisfy the feature into not showing...

Here's something quick I worked up... bout to leave work don't have much time left. But in the feature manager look for Reference Geometry pulldown to create both axis and plane features...

I think I'd create 1 master file with 3 configurations for each thread set and use a top level "Settings" sketch that controls the Dia and Length settings. Right click, edit sketch, change od, change length, save, choose thread, done.
This file should easily float around 1mb... probably less...

I've never had a pleasurable experience with auto recover... The few times I've tried to use it, the copy it had backed up still lost me about an hour of work somehow.
