Hello, when I apply embedded region restriction to my model in abaqus, the model gives the error "Too many attempts made for this increment". When I remove the embedded region restriction, the model works. Where am I making a mistake? I apply the embedded region restriction when I place the iron...
Hello, I am modeling a building in Abaqus. I will apply shotcrete. I have a concrete slab with reinforcement mesh attached to masonry walls. There are anchors connecting these elements. I defined the interaction between the masonry wall and the concrete as a tie, but the model gives an...
Hi,
hi,
How can I plot the displacement-force drift raito ratios in matlab in a way that they relate to each other?can you please help?
I added the image of the graph.
displacement-force and drift raito will be positioned as in the...
Thank you for your return. My material is wrought iron. I defined it as true stress strain. That's why I need to subtract whether it has reached its yielding point.
Hello,
In my Abaqus model, I defined the iron elements as plastic materials. As a result of the analysis, which components should I choose to draw the tresca (stress-strain)? When I select tresca directly, it takes it as stress-displacement. Or how can I prove whether the iron has reached its...
Hello,
The analysis step of my wall model is defined as dynamic implicit. I'm giving a cyclic load but I haven't figured out how to get the damped energy as output for the entire system. I would be happy if you help.
Thanks.
Hi,
I will do frequency analysis on abaqus, but I have external loads. I define these before the frequency as static general Nonlinear on. I cannot see its effect on the mass. Loads are not included in the mass. How can I include loads in the total mass?
Thank you.
Hello,
I am doing wall analysis on abaquste. I define my stone material as CDP and my iron material as plastic. My model works, but after a while it gives the error "Too many attempts made for this increment". When I define the material as elastic, my model works without any problems. I updated...
Horizontal bars connect the stones to each other with hooks at both ends. It connects the upper and lower stones vertically. In other words, there are gaps in the stones and iron gets into those gaps. Worked on frequency analysis now. Could it be related to the features of my computer?
Thank you
I have a wall model and I need to apply cyclic load from the upper beam. The upper beam is defined as a rigid body and there are iron bars between the stones. Welding is achieved with molten metal between iron and stone. I defined a tie constraint between stone and iron. My analysis starts and...
Thank you for your answer. The only contact I can change in my model is the tie contact. I define a beam on the wall. When I give side load (as a rigid body), the beam should not be separated by the three stones below and should move together. I assigned a contact to the tie. With what other...
Hello,
I am doing cyclic loading analysis on the wall. There are too many contacts in my model. I am doing dynamic implicit - quasi static analysis, but I get the error "Too many attempts made for this increment" or Att always progresses as 1U 2U and the analysis stops. I suggested Step-Other -...
Thank you for your answer.
If I need to give more details; inside the rebar concrete block. I use tie contact on the surface where the concrete and rebar come into contact. The gaps and stress between the two solids are important. No penetration allowed. There is actually molten metal between...
Hello, I am working on solid parts in abaqus. I have a rebar welded inside a large block of concrete. After the loading process, stresses and damages in the iron and concrete blocks are detected. I defined its materials as nonlinear. But should I make an interactive "tie" or "embedded region"...
Hello, I am doing abaqus pushover analysis. The lateral load I apply is in the x direction. When I print out the X direction in the reaction force, it does not equal the load. How can I solve my problem...
