My own follow up on this, our reseller has indicated that this is not possible in our V6 install, OOTB at least. Where spreadsheet view will give only instances and not collate. Which seems like a step backwards from the V5 Analyse BoM tool but....looks like have to format within excel.

I would like to export the spreadsheet view from Catia V6 but have only one line for each part in the assembly tree i.e. one line item and qty as opposed to a different line item for each instance. The same way the BoM shows when you add one in a drawing for example.

Yeah we are trying to remove the manual input as we've had some problems with incorrect input, but good to know other folks have similar issues.
We've asked our reseller to see if they have any potential solutions.
