My own follow up on this, our reseller has indicated that this is not possible in our V6 install, OOTB at least. Where spreadsheet view will give only instances and not collate. Which seems like a step backwards from the V5 Analyse BoM tool but....looks like have to format within excel.

Thanks Mark, Yeah we are trying to remove the manual input as we've had some problems with incorrect input, but good to know other folks have similar issues. We've asked our reseller to see if they have any potential solutions. Thanks
