Hard Work with Smartness is the key to success
Greetings to Respected and Experienced Members...
Please let me know this.
410 has less desirable properties than 316 but it is placed in High Alloy Grade category. What is the reason for this and what extra benefit they have because of this category.
Thanks in advance

Hello to All Experienced and Respected Members,
Pressure seal bonnet valves are used in case of Clean , Steam and Non corrosive services.
Please justify the feasibility of this statement with a Logic behind.
Thanks

Hard Work with Smartness is the key to success
Everybody knows that
Clean services require Soft Trim and Dirty services require Hardened trim.
What are the cases where clean services require Hardened trim and dirty services soft?
Please give examples.
Thanks

Hard Work with Smartness is the key to success
I would like to say Thanks to everybody regarding the Maximum and minimum size of Pipe but not clear about the material selection or grouping in B16.5 given the base material family (CS/SS/LTCS/DSS.....)and not respective ASTM material.

Hard Work with Smartness is the key to success
Hello everybody!
Appreciate your help as I have few questions in my mind regarding Piping Specification...
1. How one can decide the maximum and minimum size for a specific fluid/medium. May be based on Client requirements but not exactly.
2. How to find the relevant material group in ASME...
Hi to All respected and Experienced members...
-There is a Hardness difference in Seat and Disc of valves and the value is restricted to 150BHN.
Please explain the purpose of Hardness difference.
Per my understanding there is an impact on Trim material selection and the more the Hardness...
I also do not think but as a general statement which type of corrosion is more governing.
Internal or External one and Why?
Appreciate your quick response.

Hi All respected members,
Please let me know in general whether internal corrosion is more dangerous or the external one.
Regarding the piping industry internal one has more severe effect as the thickness calculations are based on Internal corrosion
and regarding the Pipeline industry the...
Hello Everybody,
Generally the Trim material has Higher corrosion or Erosion resistance than body material but in some cases it has similar metallurgy to valve body.
Pl. explain these exceptional cases regarding size, service, design and operating conditions, Pipe material, etc. as there are...
Hi...
Code does not suggest Material selection. It provides the restrictions for a specific material.
You have to use your own judgement according to the location, design and operating conditions, vendor experiences, client experiences and specifications, fluid list and the list goes on and on...
Generally the minimum Corrosion Allowance depends on the Project Specification.
For CS Piping even the Fluid is water one has to take a certain minimum value.

Just take this with simple Logic.
Valve trim material should be of concern as Corrosion is mainly due to the fluid/wetted parts.

Hi..
Do Google for the info required.
Pl. note that Needle is used in small size and reverse for the Globe valves.

Hi All!
If there is any specific criterion for the selection of Integral or Renewable seat as somebody told me that size criteria is the basis for the same.
Thanks for your help.......

Hi..
This is regarding System efficiency.
Per my understanding, System having few valves with High Pressure drops is more efficient. Consequently small boilers/pumps can be used.
Comments are Highly Appreciated.
Thanks.....

Hello All!
Regarding flow of Liquids and Gases through valves.
Is there any difference between flow of Liquids and Gases. What are the consequences and their resolution.
Cavitation and Flashing, normally are the problems associated with the Valves. Mention if anything other than this.
Thanks...
Agree with your post.
In addition I have to say that API6D is for Long distance Pipeline and API599 for Piping.
Also it depends on the Client requirements to select a specific standard.
Kindly share your thoughts regarding this.
Thanks!
